Stopping business in Russia and supporting Ukraine. A message from Bupa

Our purpose is helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world and we are horrified by the human suffering in the war in Ukraine and strongly condemn Russia’s military action.

Across Bupa, we’re doing everything we can to help people in need. Our business in Poland, LUX MED, is delivering urgent care to those affected by the conflict. We are helping those coming from Ukraine in all 258 medical centres and 13 hospitals and we have also set up a special helpline dedicated to supporting refugees. We are offering emergency medical services at the Ukrainian border, with paramedics, doctors and necessary equipment and we are also helping the families of our employees with relocation from Ukraine to Poland. We will continue to do what we can to make a positive impact.

We have decided that in addition to complying with applicable sanctions we will end any existing relationships with businesses in Russia, or Russian-controlled entities globally, as soon as possible, and we will not renew existing contracts with these businesses.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this terrible situation. We all hope for peace to prevail as soon as possible.
