The below terms of use sets out the Terms of a legally binding agreement between you and Bupa, when you use our website.

We have provided this website, www.bupa.com ('our Site'), to enable you to find out about Bupa, its global businesses, and how we are delivering on our purpose of helping people to live longer, healthier and happier lives. These terms of use ('Terms'), are provided to protect both you, the user of this site, and Bupa, as its owner.

Welcome to our Site

Bupa.com has been designed to allow access by all internet users. We welcome your feedback on any of the Material we post, either at the point of access or by emailing us at any time. From time to time some areas of our Site, such as Bupa job application pages, are password protected and access is restricted to particular users who have chosen to register their details with us. This is to protect the personal data that they have provided to us from public access.

This website is owned and controlled by Bupa, more formally known as the British United Provident Association Limited (‘Bupa’, ‘our’, ‘we’ or ‘us’). Changes or updates

From time to time we may revise these Terms by amending this page and updating the terms on it. Your continued use of our Site following the posting of any changes will confirm your acceptance of these changes and the onus is on you to check to see if any changes have been made since your last visit.

Loss of access to our Site

Sometimes and possibly without notice, we may have to withdraw or suspend access to some or all of the Materials or pages available on our Site. Intellectual property rights

The design and lay out of our Site and the Materials (defined above) posted on it attract and are protected by various legal rights. Other sites or apps may also enable you to enter into a contract with us or another Bupa entity for the supply of certain information, goods or services. Where this is the case, any contract made with you will be governed by the terms and conditions referred to on the relevant page of the site or on installation of the app in question.

Viruses and other malware

Equally, we ask that you do not interfere or tamper with the normal operation or the security of any pages on our Site, or any other feature or part of our Site or add any unauthorised content or links to any part of our Site. To the extent permitted by law, we, the other members of the Bupa group of companies and all third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:

  • all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity
  • all liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any person in connection with our Site or in connection with or resulting from the use or inability to use our Site and/or any Materials and any websites linked to the Site or Materials including, without limitation, any liability for:
  • loss of income or revenue
  • loss of business
  • loss of profits or contracts
  • loss of anticipated savings
  • loss of data
  • loss of goodwill
  • wasted management or office time

and however the loss in question arises and whether it is caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, and regardless of whether it was foreseeable or not.

If, in any way whatsoever, we are found to be liable to you for any damage or loss (including through negligence) which arises in any way out of, or is in any way connected with, your use of our Site or Materials or service, our liability shall not exceed the total of GBP50 (fifty pounds).

These Terms do not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

General terms

If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid, illegal or for any reason unenforceable then that part will be deemed deleted and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining parts. Any failure by us to enforce our rights or remedies under these Terms of Use or otherwise shall not be construed as a waiver by us of those or any other rights or remedies.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of our Site or its Materials, including any IPR infringement or dispute will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from any use of our Site or its Materials although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Terms in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
