A year of transformative investment

In 2025 we continued to invest in the breadth and quality of our clinical provision. We added four hospitals to our portfolio and opened new health clinics, diagnostic and laboratory services, and dental centres. We also increased our aged care facilities.

As part of our 3x100 Strategy, we also invested in three key projects to supercharge our ability to deliver more preventive and personalised care, and deliver better healthcare outcomes for our customers:

Genome sequencing for personalised and preventative care

Through large-scale genomic testing we have helped customers better understand their genetic profile, identify risks of serious disease and take proactive steps toward prevention – enabling truly preventative and personalised healthcare.

Our initial My Genomic Health programme unlocked clinical insights with transformative potential.

Improving doctor and patient connections through data and AI

We are using data and AI to bring health information together, support clinician decision-making and reduce administrative burden. This allows our clinicians to focus on delivering high- quality, personalised care for customers.

Our digital provision Blua continues to transform how customers access healthcare, offering simple, fast and convenient ways to reach digital health services.

Mindplace: Dedicated spaces for face-to-face mental health support

Our new Mindplace centres reflect Bupa’s commitment to making high-quality mental healthcare more accessible.

These purposefully designed spaces enable customers to access professional therapy in calm, private surroundings.

Since launching earlier this year, we have opened 46 Mindplaces across six countries: Poland, UK, Australia, Spain, Chile and Brazil.

Focused onconnecting healthcare

Every day, millions of people trust Bupa to look after their health and wellbeing.

We have thousands of experienced healthcare professionals delivering high-quality connected care through our hospitals, clinics, dental centres, laboratories, care homes and contact centres.

Over the past year Bupa’s momentum has been driven by deeper integration across our services, and a clear focus on delivering high-quality care.

Professor Melvin Samsom

Group Chief Medical Officer

At the start of 2026, I stepped into the role of Chief Medical Officer with a responsibility to ensure the safety and quality of our care, and a focus on advancing Connected Care to deliver better outcomes for our customers worldwide. Having served on Bupa Group’s Board for six years I have seen first-hand the scale, commitment and compassion of our healthcare teams.

Expanding Connected Care

Over the past year, Bupa’s momentum has been driven by deeper integration across our services and continued investment in high-quality provision. Our Connected Care model brings together health insurance, hospitals, clinics, digital health and at home services to create a clinically led, joined up experience for customers.

We expanded our clinical footprint, adding four hospitals across the UK, Poland and Spain, alongside new clinics, diagnostic services, and dental centres.

Digital health remains central to our approach. Blua, digital health by Bupa, connects 8.7 million customers to personalised programmes, remote monitoring and virtual care, supporting prevention and condition management at home.

Ensuring safe, high-quality care is fundamental

Our 60,000 clinicians and carers are supported by a global clinical governance framework that drives consistent standards across markets. Sustained improvements across key quality indicators and continued Joint Commission International and ISO accreditations provide independent validation of our performance.

We are also investing in the future workforce through Bupa Campus and new clinical mobility programmes, enabling knowledge-sharing across borders and strengthening capability.

Looking forward

Looking ahead, Connected Care will continue to shape how we deliver healthcare. The establishment of a new Board Clinical Governance and Oversight Committee in 2026 reflects our commitment to strong clinical governance as our services evolve.

Together, we will continue to connect people, data and expertise to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives.
