Partnering with Paralympic teams
Teaming up with national Paralympic associations as their official healthcare partner is a natural thing for us to do. It matches our values perfectly.
Through each national partnership we help to keep the Paralympic teams and their families healthy and strong so that they can perform at their best and continue to inspire.

Our Paralympic partners
We’re honoured that the national Paralympic Associations in Australia, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and the UK, have chosen Bupa businesses to be their Official Healthcare Partner.
We are proud to be the Official Healthcare Partner of Paralympics Australia and the Australian Paralympic Team.
We are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of Paralympians so they can perform at their best on and off the ground. But our support goes beyond the stadium — we are also creating opportunities so more people living with a disability can participate in grassroots sport and opening up new pathways for future Para-athletes.
We have been the Official Healthcare Partner of the Chilean Paralympic Committee since 2020, providing care for athletes across our outpatient health centres and our hospital in Santiago.
We have supported the Committee and Paralympic athletes throughout their preparation for and participation at the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago and the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
We are also constantly developing initiatives with the Committee to help bring Paralympic sport closer to the community, especially in schools. This is part of our efforts to advocate for inclusion through physical activity and promote the development of new generations of Paralympic athletes.
We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with Paralympics New Zealand for the 2024 Paralympic Games.
Bupa is committed to providing financial support to the New Zealand Paralympic Team and the partnership will promote awareness of the power of para sport to change lives.
Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is recognised by the International Paralympic Committee as the National Paralympic Committee for New Zealand.
LUXMED, our business in Poland, has provided sports medicine support for Poland's Paralympic team for a number of years.
Through our partnership, we have performed over 30,000 medical procedures for people associated with either the Polish Olympic Committee or the Polish Paralympic Committee since 2014.
Sanitas, our business in Spain, has been the Official Healthcare Partner of the Spanish Paralympic Committee since 2007. This partnership includes providing health insurance for 170 Paralympic athletes and offering a dedicated medical service in Madrid for the Paralympic team.
In 2024, the Sanitas Foundation organised the second Inclusive Games with the Alliance for Inclusive Sport where nearly 300 international athletes with and without disabilities competed together.
Paralympians show what it means to keep pushing forward, inspiring not just those with disabilities but everyone.
