Bupa announces it has extended its partnership with JAAQ
Bupa Global & UK has expanded its partnership with mental health platform JAAQ (Just Ask A Question) following a successful six month trial.
The partnership aims to increase access to personalised, expert-led health advice online, helping people access clinical advice early, when needed. Bupa experts Dr Arun Thiyagarajan and Dr Samantha Wild already feature on the site, with additional Bupa clinicians set to provide comprehensive health information on a range of conditions designed to break down stigmas and taboos surrounding mental health, women’s health and gut health issues, amongst others.
The extended partnership will also include additional resources for Bupa customers. In the first phase, Bupa and JAAQ will produce a series of Q&A-style videos about accessing health insurance, laying out information about Bupa’s products, services and policies in a straightforward, jargon-free way. Drawing on insight and feedback from customers, the videos are designed to make it easier to access Bupa products.
A new, exclusive employee engagement programme for Bupa’s business customers will also be added. The programme comes as the latest research from Bupa’s Wellbeing Index shows that shows that half of employees would prefer to self-diagnose rather than see a doctor, even though more than one in five (22%) rate their mental health as ‘poor’ and a similar number (19%) say the same about their physical health.
The exclusive offering for Bupa business customers aims to boost employee engagement and provide support and guidance that is easily accessible. The employee engagement programme includes access to a customisable set of wellbeing services and tools for the workplace such as:
- Brand new videos featuring Bupa experts designed to support a positive and resilient workplace culture, focusing on a range of health topics including mental health, musculoskeletal conditions and cancer
- The opportunity to create bespoke video content based on specific employee need
- Advice for employees on accessing their health insurance policies and benefits, available on the Bupa website
- Face to face employee engagement sessions with JAAQ: access to immersive sessions and inspirational speakers
- The option to access exclusive content through the JAAQ At Work platform, with personalised experiences and tailored management information (MI)
Alex Perry, CEO, Bupa UK Insurance said: “We’re working with JAAQ to give a new and better way for consumers, our customers and our business partners to access all kinds of health and wellbeing information.
