I believe in the power of organisations to bring change to society.
I always wanted to work for a company with strong values, aligned with what I believe in. All seven Bupa values are important and also key to defining our culture as a company - but above all, caring, open, accountable and authentic resonate really strongly with me.
How to use the strength and muscle of a big company to create a better society? That’s one of my motivations.
My family and friends is what matters most to me. I want them to have good health and a world of opportunities and possibilities for them to be able to fulfill their dreams. Who doesn’t feel the same way? But for that to be possible, we all need to work towards shaping a better society.
We at Bupa are in a privileged position to make that happen. We can contribute to provide exceptional health and care for our customers first, and for our communities and wider society too. We can operate in a way that has minimal impact on the environment, contributing to a healthier planet for our customers, society and generations to come. We can also make a huge impact on the health and happiness of our own people, who are so vital to Bupa’s success.
This is what Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at Bupa is all about. I’m happy to be part of this project, which is being built from strong foundations in each of our markets, and it’s getting more and more ambitious. You’ll be hearing about it more in the coming days and months.
I love to hear stories about how we’re making a positive impact as an organisation. It energises me and inspires me to want to achieve more.
I really do believe in the power of organisations to bring positive change to society. I’m grateful to be part of one of them.
