Health Promise with Max Bupa
In 2011 Max Bupa launched a first of its kind health movement in India. The ‘Health Promise’ campaign, highlighting the importance of being healthy yourself and encouraging others to do the same, asks people to make a pledge to keep their promises for loved ones by actionable tips, health advice and health information. To date over 50,000 people have joined the movement and made a health promise.
Speaking at the launch event, Dr Damien Marmion, CEO, Max Bupa said:
“Max Bupa has launched a health movement - ‘Health Promise’, which will enable people to give priority to their health first and at the same time encourage them to make a health promise for their loved ones. This idea is backed by the study we conducted on the insights on people’s attitude and perceptions on chronic diseases.
According to the Bupa Health Pulse 2011 Study, in India, 40 per cent of people are unhealthy and almost 1 out of every 10 is obese. Since, we help our customers keep their ‘health’ first, these findings were intriguing enough for us to create a platform where people take the promise for their loved ones and we help them achieve it.”
