Reports and publications

Bupa carries out a range of public policy research projects, some of which are conducted in partnership with external organisations. See below for the current list of publicly available reports from these projects.

UK Healthy Work: Challenges and Opportunities to 2030

Bupa has launched a new report analysing the future opportunities and challenges for workplace health.

'Healthy Work' sets out how trends in the demography and economy of the UK, and the changing nature of work and the evolution of disease, will affect the health of the workforce over the next 20 years.

The report is part of an 18-month project that Bupa is leading, in partnership with The Work Foundation, RAND Europe and The Oxford Health Alliance, to identify ways to improve the effectiveness of workplace health in the UK.

Mind the Gap: Sustaining improvements in the NHS beyond 2008

This report is written by economic consultancies NERA and Frontier for Bupa, and launched in 2006 by independent think tank The Social Market Foundation.

The report looks at the financial pressures facing the NHS and warns of a funding gap from 2008 which if unchecked could rise to £11bn by 2015. The report also examines a number of possible solutions.
