With a refurbishment of £457,000 to Bupa’s Brompton House coming to an end it would seem only fitting to celebrate the reopening with a summer garden party hosted by The Dowager Duchess of Devonshire.
The Duchess, who owns Chatsworth House, one of England’s largest stately homes, will be joined by residents, carers, friends and families, to celebrate the grand opening of the home. The team at Brompton House in Broadway, will be putting on a typical English country garden party with musical entertainment, champagne, strawberry teas and Pimm’s.
The refurbishment is part of Bupa Care Service’s multi-million pound investment in its care homes, to help improve the standard of care for older people throughout the UK.
Care home manager, Amanda Francis is thrilled with the changes and said: “The home looks fantastic! All of the residents and employees are excited about welcoming The Duchess to the garden party and their home, as well as getting to try out all of the new facilities!”
The investment means that a large number of facilities have been revamped, including ensuring that every bedroom has been kitted out with new furniture, curtains, fittings, and flat screen TVs. Residents can also join the growing eave of “silver surfers” as they can now go on line with internet access in their own rooms.
