Nursery staff from across Teddies Nurseries have been honoured with awards at the company's recent SHINE (Showing How Investment Nurtures Excellence) celebrations.
Nathan Sweetman (32), the Nursery Manager at Bracknell Teddies was thrilled to be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 11 years' service with Teddies. Trained to NVQ level 3 in childcare and early years, Nathan has lost count of the hundreds of children he has looked after since starting his career.
Most Outstanding Nursery Nurse award was scooped by Zabida Khan from Teddies Nursery in Woking.
Samantha Rose, Zabida's manager explains:No one exceeds their job description more than Zabida - she is truly one of life's naturals when it comes to the care and devotion of children.
Finally, Teddies Godalming won the Most Outstanding Learning Centre award. The Learning Centre is entirely for use pre-school children. Activities are designed to be free flowing, to encourage the children to be independent and make choices about the activities they want to do, while staff focus on developing social skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
Delighted nursery manager Sarah Harman said:There were a number of criteria we were judged on, but I am sure it was the overwhelming support and endorsement of the parents that secured us this award - the staff is thrilled at the recognition.
