Residents of Bupa's Erskine Hall Care Centre, in Northwood are getting set to welcome the chairman of the Three Rivers District Council, Chris Lloyd, for the unveiling of their newly refurbished home on Thursday 7 May between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
Joining the Council chairman to celebrate its £613,000 refurbishment, will be locals, friends and family who will get together over tea and cakes to tour the building and enjoy entertainment by a seven-piece soft jazz band.
The significant investment from Bupa has meant that a large number of facilities have been upgraded. Along with new flooring and redecoration throughout, the 76-bed care home's new modern equipment has been designed with residents' every need in mind - from the latest flatscreen televisions in bedrooms to a dedicated activities room for crafts, films and quizzes.
The refurbishment comes as part of Bupa Care Service's multi-million pound investment in its care homes, to help improve the standard of care for older people throughout the UK.
The refurbishment has proved to be a real hit with residents of Erskine Hall.
Home manager, Mary Hagon, said:We are so pleased with all the changes and hope residents from the local area will come along to see the changes we have made. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration, which will include an afternoon of live entertainment.
