Bupa International cements commitment to Brighton

Back to UK

Leading international expatriate health insurer, Bupa International, has reinforced its continued commitment to Brighton by signing a new 15-year lease for Victory House on Trafalgar Place next to Brighton Station, from landlord, Invista Foundation Property Trust.

The company will occupy five floors of the building, and is expecting to move in early in 2011 following extensive refurbishment. Bupa International is one of Brighton's largest employers, with a 600-strong workforce currently based at three sites around the city. Victory House is the first step to bring together Bupa International's expanding workforce and modernise facilities.

Alistair How, managing director of Bupa International said:

Bupa International has been headquartered in Brighton since the 1970s, and we are committed to staying here because it is a great city in which to live and work. Victory House provides us with the opportunity to expand our existing 600-strong workforce as our business continues to prosper. We are one of the largest employers in the city, and as an international business, Brighton's cosmopolitan make-up makes it an ideal place to find new staff for our multi-lingual teams.

Bupa International will remain at its headquarters, Russell House, in Russell Mews and will look to move out of its short term offices in Portland Street and North Road when Victory House is complete.

Bupa International has over 35 years' expertise in caring for the healthcare needs of expats and their families around the globe. Covering over 800,000 people in 190 countries, Bupa International has a range of high quality and flexible plans, designed for groups and individuals living and working abroad for six months or more.
