Nurse Alison Ough has been named as manager of Bupa's £5.5million The Springs Nursing and Residential home in Malvern. From October, Alison will run the purpose built nursing home, which will care for 65 residents and is set on an acre of beautiful grounds specially designed for older people and people with dementia.
Bupa Regional Director, Mark Elliott said:Alison is a very experienced home manager with a passion for working with people with dementia. She boasts an impressive track record in the care sector and will play a vital role in managing this brand new care home developed to provide specialist dementia care.
Alison has been working with older people for over 23 years and has been a care home manager in various homes for the last eight years. Her appointment at The Springs follows a previous two-year position as home manager at Bupa's Court House Nursing Home, which is also in Malvern. She will be leading a team of 80 care staff over the home's three floors.
