Bupa expands in Andalucía, Spain

A new sales and support centre for Bupa International, the leading international expatriate health insurer, has opened in Fuengirola near Malaga, southern Spain.

Located on Avda. Nuestro Padre Jesus Cautivo, one of Fuengirola's main avenues, the new walk-in centre has more than doubled in size and the expanded team of 11 staff now support Bupa International and ihi Bupa customers in Spain and Gibraltar as well as distributors in Europe, the Middle East, Sub Saharan Africa.

Bupa pioneered expatriate health insurance in 1971 and today is one of the leading international health insurers in the world with more than 800,000 customers in 190 countries. It has a network of more than 7,500 hospitals and clinics around the world, a multi-lingual helpline and a 24-hour worldwide emergency medical centre based in Copenhagen.

Bupa's global sales director, Tim Slee, said,

 The expansion of our Fuengirola office demonstrates Bupa's commitment to the region. As well as continuing to support our customers, brokers and medical providers in Spain and Gibraltar, we can now extend and develop our reach across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
