Bupa has appointed Stuart Fletcher, 54, as its new Chief Executive. Stuart will replace Ray King whose retirement was announced earlier this year. Most recently Stuart was President of Diageo International. He worked at Diageo for 26 years and before that held various financial positions at Procter & Gamble. He will join Bupa on 1 March 2012.

Biography
Stuart Fletcher was President of Diageo International between 2004-2011 having been President of Key Markets between 2000-2004. Diageo International comprised a wide range of markets, focused on three regional hubs: Latin America and the Caribbean; Africa; and the Middle East and Global Travel (as well as previously including Asia Pacific). Over recent years Diageo International consistently delivered double-digit top and bottom line growth. Stuart has held a number of senior management positions at Diageo, joining the company in 1986, including Global Finance Director of Guinness. Previously Stuart held various financial positions with Procter & Gamble.
