The Bupa Foundations are independent charities that fund medical research through their grants, helping to prevent, relieve and cure sickness and ill health.
MBF Foundation Australia
MBF Foundation, Australia was established as part of MBF's ongoing contribution and commitment to the community.
MBF Foundation is a charitable institution that supports and manages important community health initiatives using a portion of the MBF Group's investment income each year.
MBF Foundation invests in partnerships and activities that fall into the following categories:
- promotion of health research
- promotion of health education
- promotion of programs for leading healthy lives
Sanitas Foundation
The role of the Sanitas Foundation is to reinforce research and knowledge creation in society at large and in the medical community, in support of health and quality of life.
Activities are concentrated in four main areas:
- Research (particularly funding clinical research projects in Sanitas hospitals and clinics)
- Training
- Knowledge transfer – such as conferences, discussion fora on biomedicine, new technologies and health, disability, and ageing and dependence
- Social action – supporting people with disabilities and encouraging scientific advance
Bupa Foundation UK
The Bupa Foundation UK is an independent medical research charity that funds medical research to prevent, relieve and cure sickness and ill health. Since 1979, the Foundation has donated approximately £24 million to medical and healthcare research.
The Foundation supports medical and healthcare research in three ways:
- medical research grants
- specialist research grants
- annual foundation awards that complement the grants
