Induction
All four programmes begin with a shared, month-long induction. We really pull out all the stops during this month because we want to give you the best possible start to your Bupa career.
Senior representatives from all over the business will introduce you to the area they're responsible for. You will also receive training in areas such as project management and presentation skills. By the end of the induction, you will have an excellent grasp of Bupa's culture and values.
Team-building is another important part of the induction process. As well as learning through team activities, you'll be set a graduate group project which will see you visiting different areas of the business, meeting key people and experiencing our business first hand. By the end of the four weeks, you'll be part of a really tight-knit group.
Ongoing training
Once the induction is over and you've moved into your first placement, you will continue to get back together with the rest of the graduate group every couple of months for ongoing training days.
These training days have been designed around Bupa's Leadership Capability Framework. The aim here is to help you develop the skills you need to become a successful leader within the organisation. Areas covered include commercial awareness, customer insight, collaboration and global healthcare issues.
We'll also use these training days to keep you up to date with exciting developments in the business, and there will be opportunities for you to meet key people in the organisation.
On-the-job learning
Much of the learning you will gain through taking on real roles and responsibilities. We will help you to organise your placements so that you gain the broadest possible exposure in the shortest amount of time. We believe that people develop optimally through high challenge and high support. Therefore we will make sure that the roles you take on are stretching but that you have a network of people to learn from, as well as coaching and mentoring to help you achieve your objectives.
